Your Indoor Golf Questions, Answered Straight
The practical stuff lives here: booking, what to bring, kids, drinks, parking and hours. Deeper questions have their own homes, and we'll point you to them as we go.
Booking and Planning
Do you need to book in advance?
Yes, booking ahead is the smart move, especially for evenings and weekends when bays fill first. Booking is online and takes under a minute. Grab your time at Book a Bay.
How does booking and payment work?
Pick your bay, time and session length online, and payment is taken when you book. Arrival is tap-and-play: your bay is set up before you walk in.
How long does a session take?
Book and play by the hour. Use your time to practice on the range or play a course. Play your way. A guide is 18 holes One player – 1 hour. 2 players – under two hours. 3 players – 2.5hrs. 4 players 3 hrs.
Is it expensive?
Priced per bay and split between up to six players, a session lands around the cost of a normal night out. The full rate card is public on our Pricing page, which is not something every venue can say.
Gear, Clothes and Kids
Do you need your own clubs?
No. Hire a quality set for $10, left-handed included, or bring your own. Your Hosts will sort you out on arrival.
What do you wear to indoor golf?
Whatever you’re comfortable in. No dress code, no collared-shirt rules; just stable, flat-soled shoes for your swing. The full answer, including the footwear question everyone asks, is in our what to wear guide.
Can children play?
Yes, kids are welcome with a responsible adult, and the simulator settings can be adjusted so younger players genuinely enjoy it. We have plenty of kids specific games to keep them in the game.
Do I need to know how to play golf?
Not even slightly. Beginners are half the point of the place: private bay, no audience, and data that teaches you from the first swing. Start with our beginner’s guide.
Food, Drinks, Parking and Hours
Can you drink alcohol at the venue?
Yes, The Bay serves alcohol under an on-premises licence, responsibly and to guests taking part. Drinks come to your bench so you never leave your bay mid-round.
What food is available?
Grazing platters, share plates and casual catered options, delivered to your bay by the Hosts while you play. Bigger occasions can be catered to the occasion; ask when you book.
Is there parking?
Yes, parking is available on site at Unit 2, 102-106 Bath Road, Kirrawee.
What are your hours?
From 14 November 2026 we are open Monday to Thursday, 7am to 10pm. Friday and Saturday, 7am to 11pm. Sunday, 7am to 9pm. Booking online works around the clock either way.
